Kids' Ministry

We envision families embarking on a life-long adventure of learning who God is, trusting His plan, and boldly living for Him.

We provide 3 unique and age-appropriate environments for your kids:

K5 - 5th Grade

First Time at 12Stone?

Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the service starts. When you arrive, look for the area designated New Family Registration. We will greet your family there and register your child for the appropriate environment.

After you are registered, you and your child will be given matching security tags that are unique to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the nametag portion of your matching security tags, which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service. During checkout, you will return to your child's room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

If your child needs you during the service, we'll contact you using a pager (pagers are available for children two years and younger) or by displaying the unique code from your security tag in our adult worship environments.

To save some time when you visit, please print, fill out this form, and bring it with you when you come.

We know your child's safety is important to you and we share that concern. From matching parent and child security tags to ensuring that every volunteer is screened with an interview and a federal background check, we go to great lengths to ensure that each environment is a safe and enjoyable experience for you and your child.

Stepping Stones and Milestones

At 12Stone Church, we want to partner with parents as they lead their children in a journey of faith. We believe that when parents and the church look at the big picture of where we want our children to go, we are more likely to help them get there. As a result, we have outlined typical phases of development for children and practical ways you can engage their faith at each phase.

In addition, we have highlighted certain milestone events in the life of a child that we want to recognize and celebrate. These milestones provide a natural time to reflect and rejoice at the growth God has done in the life of our children.

Stepping Stones: Phases of Development

In the below resources, we outline what's happening in your child's life, how to share your faith, what you want your child to know, and what you can do to encourage their faith.

Baby Dedication Milestone

During our Baby Dedication ceremony, parents/caregivers commit to raise their baby (under two years of age) to follow Jesus Christ. As babies cannot express faith at this age, parents make the first step in their child’s faith formation. We invite families and friends to celebrate the dedication of these precious lives to God at our ceremony, and all babies who are dedicated will receive a special gift given with each of them in mind. Baby Dedication occurs numerous times throughout the year across our eight campuses. If you are interested in learning more and/or would like to register for the next parent meeting at your campus, please go to 12Stone.com/KidConnect.

Kindergarten Kick-Off

Starting school is an exciting moment—both for the children and parents! We recognize that there are a range of emotions that surround this event, and we want to prepare kids for the change from preschool to kindergarten. During our Kindergarten Kick-off, both caregivers and kids will get the chance to visit our Elementary environment. In addition, we have a special gift for our rising kindergartners to encourage a love of learning and show them that they are part of God’s great story!

Faith Milestone

Deciding to follow Jesus is one of the most important decisions a person can make! At 12Stone Church, we encourage believers to go public with their faith in baptism. When a child begins asking questions about faith concerning salvation or baptism, we invite them and their parents/caregivers to our “Faith” classes. In “Faith: Salvation,” kids and parents will participate in an interactive class where they discover what it means to follow Jesus. After attending this class, kids who are interested in and ready for baptism are invited to attend "Faith: Baptism" with their parents/caregivers. Kids and parents will become familiar with the biblical teachings regarding baptism and why followers of Jesus get baptized. We do not designate the age in which children can be baptized. If parents believe that their child is ready to be baptized after attending both the “Faith: Salvation” and “Faith: Baptism" classes, then we celebrate! If you would like information about child baptism and/or would like to register for our Faith classes, please go to 12Stone.com/KidConnect.

Fifth Grade Graduation

We honor our fifth-grade students as they transition to middle school with a ceremony at the end of May. We want to celebrate the growth in their faith that happened during elementary school and encourage them as they transition to middle school. During this ceremony, students will meet their Student Pastor as they say goodbye to the Elementary staff in a fun event prepared just for them! All students will leave with a special gift reminding them of their time in K12 Elementary. The Children’s Ministry Director at your campus can provide you with specific details concerning this celebration.
